Chanthaburi is one of the important province of Thailand which has long story more than 1,000 years ago. The original people of chanthaburi is khom which established the village at Khao Sa Bap. Then on 1657, the leader moved the new capital city at Ban Lum which located the western of Chanthaburi River. In period of loss the capital city Ayutthaya to Burma, the King Taksin Maharat had been used Chanthaburi for manage the war for combat with Burma.

WAT THONG THUA

Wat Thong Thua is one of the nice temple which wat was built as Khmer-style temple. Wat Thong Thua is one of the important of ancient Khmer sculptures such as lintels, sandstone door columns cave in various designs and inscription stone.

WAT PHLUP

Wat Phlup is one of the oldest temple in Chanthaburi as community during the Ayutthaya. The attraction place is "Khai Noen Wong" which built in circa 1834 during the reign of King Rama III.

HAT KHUNG WIMAN, HAT KHUNG KRABEN, HAT LAEM SADET
AND HAT CHAO LAO

KHAO KHITCHAKUT NATIONAL PARK

Khao Khitchakut located 30 km. of the north of Chanthaburi which the National Park is complete the rainforest area 58 square km. The attraction place is "Krathing waterfall" with also the rich in wildlife and nice of 13 tiers of watfall.

NAMTOK PHLIU NATIONAL PARK

The National Park has area covering of 134.5 square kilometers as complete rainforest at Khao Sa Bap mountain range. The attraction place of Namtok Phliu National Park is the large pool of water below very nice place. The Namtok Phliu has 3 tiers of cool, clear water for splashing. Around the Namtok Phliu have the laterite chedi and stupa shaped similar the pyramid by King Rama V for loving memorial to Phra Nang Chao Sunanthakumarirat, who died in a boat accident.
The second place of attraction place is The Khlong Narai Waterfall located about 6 km. from town.

HAT LAEM SING

Hat Laem Sing located 30 km. far from the town which you will find the nice long beach of 16 km. Hat Laem Sing is one of the nice beach and quiet from tourist group. You can get the boats for rent to visit the small islands as Ko Chula and Ko Nom Sao.

KHUK KHI KAI (Shaped Prison)

Khuk Khi Kai is one of the importance place for visiting which this place built for keep Thais who was against the French occupation of Chanthaburi in 1893.

TUK DAENG

Tuk Daeng is one of the attraction place for sight seeing and near the Khuk Khi Kai. The Phikhat Patchamit Fort establieshed in the reign of King Rama III. The decoration is the single storey, red-tiled roof building for library.
