Phetchabun is the nice province in low northern province of Thailand
which the old name called " Phuechapura "
Doing and Sights Seeing
WAT TRAIPHUM
Wat Traiphum situated at Phetcharat Rd., which this place is attraction
of Buddha image called " Phra Buddha Maha Thammaracha
" The local villagers found the Buddha Image in the bottom
of Pa Sak River in front of the Wat Traiphum. Thus local people
will taking the Phra Buddha Maha Thammaracha to be celebrated in
the procession around the City on Sart Thai Festival.
KHAO KHO MEMORIAL
Khao Kho located 37 km. north of Phetchabun which Khao Kho is the
important place of sights on the plateau to relate the battles between
the Thai Army and the PLAT (People Liberation Army of Thailand)
which they was communist stronghold during the long time war during
1978 - 1982. This memorial situated on the top of Khao Kho which
the meaning is three cooperation's of civilian, police and military.
KHAO KHO
Khao Kho is located 37 km north of Phetchabun. It is actually an
amphoe of Phetchabun Province situated upon a mountain top plateau.
Most of the sights on the plateau are related to the battles between
the Thai Army and the PLAT (Peoples Liberation Army of Thailand)
as this was a communist stronghold during the long running war.
This area is nice place for the young travelers like the rock claimbing
and mountain adventure which you need to keep the strong power to
go up the top of mountain.
PHU HIN RONGKLA NATIONAL PARK
This park is the historical battle field of Thai Army with the
drug gang in the part. This area is the difference from other national
park which the main area is stone platform with deep crevices called
" Lan Hin Taek " and the another part as
the jutting boulders called " Lan Hin Phum ".
Other attraction place is small nice waterfalls in the national
park area.
NAM NAO NATIONAL PARK
Nam Nao National Park is popular place for the travelers who like
the nature life and adventure in green wild forest. This park is
the complete rain forest with various of wild animal such as elephants,
deer, bears, tigers, monkeys and over 200 species.
